An IT Escape for Educators with the SchoolScape

Schoolscape IT

On the 2nd of August 2019, we invited three New Nation School teachers to the SchoolScape IT. This event brings together Principals and Deputy Principals, Heads of Department and any business who is in the space of applying IT to advance educational outcomes. The teachers engaged with organisations that have a mission of either teaching children about Fourth Industrial Revolution skills, like coding and hologram games, educating the school on how to protect information and supporting educators on applying technology in their classrooms. The teachers got to be part of integrated classroom sessions, where they learnt about organisations and their offerings; there was also an expo for the teachers to explore even more organisations. New Nation School teacher Mr. Khumalo even won a prize from the SchoolScape IT event!

This event showed the importance of technology and how we must educate those who have the power to influence learners learning experience and those who will prepare learners for the future.
