End of Year Reflections…

End of Year Reflections…

As we sit down to reflect on the passing of another year, we are overwhelmed with gratitude and emotion. Pheeew… How is it that 2023 has come to a close already? It feels like yesterday when we embarked on new goals and milestones for the TNF Family.

First and foremost, we want to express our deepest thanks to all of you. Your unwavering support has been the cornerstone of our journey, and without you, none of our achievements would be possible. Thank you for believing in our mission and sharing in our vision for a brighter, more empowered future, leaving no child behind.

This year has been nothing short of extraordinary. It has been a time of growth transcending mere numbers and statistics. Yes, we proudly graduated cohorts for two existing programs and launched two AI and Robotics, marking a significant milestone in innovative education. But growth, for us, is more than just expansion. It’s about learning from the mistakes we’ve made, the resilience we’ve built in the face of challenges. It’s about our dedicated staff finding confidence in their abilities and taking ownership of the spaces they occupy. It has truly been a year of immense personal and collective growth.  Among the many highlights, we take particular pride in publishing our first-ever Annual Report 2023.

This report is not just a compilation of achievements; it’s a testament to the TNF Family’s collective efforts and unwavering commitment over the years. We also welcomed the third cohort of Education Changemakers, a group of 50 passionate young leaders from 14 Sub-Saharan African countries.

We celebrated with 97 youths from Ivory Park as they graduated from our Faranani Infrastructure Project.

A moment that fills our hearts with joy is the pilot of our AI and Robotics center in Braamfischerville, a collaborative effort with Sifiso Edtech.

This center is not just a physical space; it’s a gateway to new and incredible opportunities for the future generations of our community. It represents a step forward in equipping our youth with the skills and knowledge they need to thrive in an ever-evolving world.

The Digital Revolution is not waiting for us. Learners must be exposed to artificial intelligence, coding and robotics to prepare themselves. Through collaborations like this, we can ensure that every child in South Africa has access to quality education. During September, teachers from The Trevor Noah Foundation’s Khulani Schools Programme were immersed in hands-on coding and robotics teacher training. By training teachers, we have the ability to change the lives of every learner they come into contact with. This, more than any other intervention, has the ability to change the future of education at an exponential rate.

We extend a special thank you to our partners, who stand by our side as pillars of strength and support. Your collaboration and dedication play a pivotal role in shaping our communities and societies into the leaders our country needs.

As the year draws to a close, we wish you a holiday season filled with love, joy, and meaningful moments with your loved ones. On behalf of our entire team, our valued partners, and the communities we serve, thank you for being an integral part of our journey. We are excited to continue this remarkable adventure with you in 2024.

 With all our love,
