REPORT

2023

SUMMARY

Welcome to our 2023 Annual Report. As we reflect on the year, we recognize a dance that continues to shape the efforts and impacts in the education sector. This year, our theme “Lean In and Then Step Back.” It encapsulates the dynamic rhythm of frequent engagement and then shifting to a role of support to foster self-sustaining leadership and growth in the schools and communities we serve.

CHAIRMAN

Growing up in South Africa, I have seen firsthand the challenges our institutions face under past and present governments. These experiences fuel the dual mission at the Trevor Noah Foundation: to make a tangible impact and scale our efforts for systemic change. Our work is rooted in the belief that schools are more than educational institutions; they are vital community hubs where youth, parents, families, and opportunities converge. By identifying and amplifying the success of schools thriving against the odds, I can only imagine, “What if they had more? What could they accomplish?”.
