Impacting Career Pathways with Gradesmatch

Understanding and navigating career pathways from education to employment is challenging and complex. In achieving the outcome of improving transition rates of New Nation students into further opportunity, our partnership with Gradesmatch is incredibly essential. Gradesmatch is a comprehensive career guidance technology that assists learners with career planning to unlock their potential. They achieve this with their innovative technology that assesses an individual’s academic performance and career interests, and matches those characteristics with suitable careers, institutions and bursary opportunities.

Not only do our students have access to Gradesmatch technology, but the Gradesmatch team provides one-on-one application support for higher learning institutions, bursaries, and the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS).

Below are a few impact stories from our students:

Meet soon to be Surgeon, Violet!

In general, medicine and other Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) careers are mostly male-dominated. Violet will one day inspire other females to join her and hopefully, contribute to a gender-balance in STEM careers in the future.
